Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Flashpoint Science Enrichment Centre website or enrolling your child in our programmes. By accessing our website or registering for our classes, workshops, or events, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any related policies. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or enrol your child in our programmes.
Eligibility
Flashpoint Science Enrichment Centre provides science enrichment classes, workshops, and events for children approximately aged 3 to 11 years, depending on programme suitability.
By enrolling a child, you confirm that:
You are the parent or legal guardian of the child, or have full authority to register the child.
All information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
Enrollment and Payment
Enrolment: Parents or guardians must complete the required registration process for classes, trial sessions, workshops, or events. Flashpoint reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrolment if information provided is incomplete or inaccurate.
Payment: Fees are charged according to the selected programme (term-based classes, workshops, trial sessions, or private events). Term classes are typically billed upfront on a term basis unless otherwise stated. Workshop and event fees are payable in advance.
Late Fees: Late or unpaid fees may result in suspension of services or loss of enrolment priority. Flashpoint reserves the right to withhold class access until outstanding payments are settled.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation Policy: For term-based programmes, written notice is required according to the enrolment agreement. For workshops or events, cancellation policies will be communicated at the point of registration.
Refunds & Credit Policy: Fees paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or explicitly stated. If a parent or guardian informs Flashpoint in advance that a child will be unable to attend a scheduled class or workshop, Flashpoint may offer credit for future workshops or programmes, at our discretion.Credits are not guaranteed, non-transferable and have an expiry period as determined by Flashpoint. No credits or refunds will be issued for last-minute absences or no-shows, except in exceptional circumstances reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Programme Delivery
Flashpoint provides hands-on science enrichment experiences that may include experiments, demonstrations, group activities, and supervised use of materials.
While all reasonable care is taken, Flashpoint reserves the right to modify lesson content, activities, or instructors as needed. We also refuse or discontinue service if a child’s behaviour poses safety concerns for themselves, other students, or staff.
Health and Safety
Medical Information: Parents or guardians must disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies, or special needs at the time of registration. Children who are visibly unwell or have contagious illnesses should not attend classes. Flashpoint reserves the right to request that a child be collected if they show signs of illness during a session.
Participation: Some activities may involve mess, water, mild chemicals, or small equipment under supervision. Children must follow safety instructions at all times.
Liability
Flashpoint takes reasonable precautions to provide a safe learning environment. However:
Participation in classes and activities is at the child’s own risk.
Flashpoint is not liable for injuries, loss, or damage except in cases of proven negligence or misconduct.
Parents are responsible for ensuring children are appropriately supervised before and after sessions.
Privacy
Flashpoint collects personal information solely for operational purposes, including enrolment, communication, and programme management.
Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws in Malaysia.
Information is not sold or shared with third parties except where required for service delivery or legal compliance.
Photos or videos taken during classes may be used for marketing purposes unless parents opt out in writing.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
Flashpoint Science Enrichment Centre reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
